Hello world! Happy New Year!

I treated a man last week who came into see me because of Tourette's Syndrome. The curious thing about this man besides his chief complaint was that while he was talking, he spoke in a very non-fluid way. His speech was jagged, with lots of mild pauses. After 4 visits, he came in to report how he was doing. However, his speech was perfectly fluid! I'm fairly confident he will get better because the brain SHOULD be able to inhibit things when you need it to. Jerky movements in body or speech are not normal. A brain which is functioning normally should and hopefully, will be able to inhibit these unwanted traits!
